Russia loses 970 soldiers in Ukraine war over past day

Russia suffered approximately 1,141,830 casualties in Ukraine between February 24, 2022 and October 31, 2025, with 970 soldiers killed or wounded in the past 24 hours.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said this in a post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Ukraine's defense forces have destroyed 11,310 (+5) Russian tanks, 23,519 (+5) armored fighting vehicles, 34,128 (+39) artillery systems, 1,533 (+2) multiple rocket launchers, 1,233 (+1) anti-aircraft warfare systems, and 3,917 (+37) cruise missiles. The Russian army has also lost 428 warplanes, 346 helicopters, 76,355 (+648) tactical unmanned aerial systems, 28 warships/cutters, 1 submarine, 66,111 (+118) vehicles and fuel trucks, and 3,986 pieces of special equipment.
