Over 15,000 civilians remain in active combat zones of Donetsk region
In Donetsk region, 15,700 civilians remain in areas of active fighting, with no children among them.
This was reported by Dmytro Petlin, representative of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration at an online briefing, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
“In the 20 communities classified as active combat zones, 15,700 civilians are still present. Fortunately, there are no children there,” Petlin said.
Since February 2022, more than 1.31 million civilians have been evacuated from Ukrainian-controlled settlements in Donetsk region, including over 200,000 children and around 47,000 people with disabilities.
Over the past week, 770 people left Donetsk region.
Across Ukrainian-controlled Donetsk region, 200,500 civilians remain, including 13,114 children.
As reported, mandatory evacuation of civilians in Donetsk region has been ongoing since August 2, 2022.
