Injury toll in Russian strike on Zaporizhzhia rises to 11, including six minors
The number of people injured in Zaporizhzhia as a result of a combined Russian attack has risen to 11, including six children aged up to six years old.
This is reported by Ukrinform, citing Head of the Regional Military Administration Ivan Fedorov on Telegram.
“The number of casualties from the enemy attack on Zaporizhzhia has risen to 11,” he wrote.
Among the injured are six children aged 3 to 6 — three girls and three boys.
“All are receiving the necessary medical care,” Fedorov emphasized.
He added that five apartment buildings and several private houses were damaged in the attack.
“A dormitory was destroyed, while infrastructure facilities were damaged,” the official noted.
The State Emergency Service (SES) reported that at one address, a residential building collapsed from the 1st to the 4th floor, followed by the collapse of the fifth floor. Rescue operations are underway, with canine units involved.
“The SES pyrotechnic team conducted a survey of the area for explosive devices. Rescuers extinguished a fire on the roof of a three-story residential building,” the statement said.
In addition, SES psychologists provided support to 15 people, including four children.
Earlier reports noted that a dormitory in Zaporizhzhia was hit in a massive Russian strike, destroying several floors of the building.
