A car exploded in the Kemerovo region of Russia, driven by war criminal Lieutenant Colonel Veniamin Mazzherin.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Defense Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
The incident occurred on October 25.
Mazzherin served in the OMON "Obereg" special unit of the Russian National Guard in the Kemerovo region.
“Obereg” is one of the Russian groups involved in war crimes and genocide against the Ukrainian people committed in February-March 2022 in the Kyiv region.
The intelligence service reminds us that, based on the evidence gathered and eyewitness accounts of the events, the Office of the Prosecutor General has opened criminal proceedings against the military personnel of the aforementioned unit, in particular for violations of the laws and customs of war.
In April 2022, Ukrainian military intelligence identified the war criminals from the "Obereg" unit by name and planned measures aimed at bringing them to justice.
As reported by Ukrinform, Russian army commander Vasiliy Marzoev, the son of a lieutenant general involved in war crimes against Ukrainians in Kherson, was eliminated in the Vasylivka district of the Zaporizhzhia region.
