One killed, one injured as Russia launches 701 strikes on Zaporizhzhia region over past day

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces carried out 701 attacks on 24 settlements across the Zaporizhzhia region. One person was killed and another was wounded as a result of an airstrike on the Huliaipole community.

Zaporizhzhia Region Governor Ivan Fedorov said this in a Telegram post seen by Ukrinform.

According to him, Russian troops launched 16 airstrikes on Veselianka, Novoiakovlivka, Ternuvate, Stepnohirsk, Orikhiv, Rivnopillia, Solodke, Zaliznychne, and Preobrazhenka. A total of 460 drones of various types (mostly FPV) attacked Bilienke, Zapasne, Novomykolayivka, Kushuhum, Stepnohirsk, Plavni, Stepove, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Bilohiria, Zelenyi Hai, and Malynivka.

There were also seven multiple rocket launcher attacks targeting Stepove, Malynivka, and Novoandriivka.

In addition, 218 artillery strikes hit the areas of Stepnohirsk, Plavni, Stepove, Huliaipole, Orikhiv, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Bilohiria, Zelenyi Hai, and Malynivka, Fedorov said.

Authorities received 20 reports of damaged homes, vehicles, and infrastructure facilities.
