White Angels unit evacuates over 2,400 people from Dnipropetrovsk region in six months
The White Angels special police unit, operating in the Dnipropetrovsk region, has evacuated over 2,400 people in the past six months, including 577 children.
The regional police reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"Since the start of evacuation efforts, police officers have managed to rescue more than 2,400 people, including 577 children. Every day, risking their own lives, officers of the White Angels unit continue to evacuate residents from frontline communities in the Dnipropetrovsk region, where shelling does not cease," the statement reads.
Recently, the special unit carried out operations in the Synelnykove district, where the situation remains tense due to ongoing attacks. Among those evacuated were children, elderly people, persons with disabilities, and even pets.
Earlier reports said that more than 105,000 people had been evacuated from frontline areas across Ukraine over the past four months.
