Russian missile and drone attack injures 10 in Kaniv, Cherkasy region
Overnight on October 10, during a missile and drone attack on the town of Kaniv in Cherkasy region, ten people were injured, including a 10-year-old boy.
According to Ukrinform, the information was reported on Telegram by Ihor Taburets, Head of the Cherkasy Regional Military Administration.
“The town is undergoing the aftermath cleanup of the Russian missile and drone attack. All necessary services are operating. An operational headquarters has been set up, with social partners from the regional Red Cross providing urgent building materials. Currently, we have ten injured people, none in serious condition. Among them is a 10-year-old boy. They are receiving all necessary assistance,” Taburets wrote.
He clarified that, according to preliminary data, the blast damaged at least seven apartment buildings, a kindergarten, and a school, mainly shattered windows.
“Assessment is ongoing — commissions are working. Based on their results, we will know the full extent of the damage,” the head of the region added.
Previously, three people were reported injured in Cherkasy region due to Russian attacks, and infrastructure was damaged.
