Woman killed in artillery strike on village in Kharkiv region

On October 4, at around 11:40, Russian forces shelled the village of Husynka in the Kupiansk district of Kharkiv region, killing a 57-year-old woman.

This was reported by the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

“According to the investigation, on October 4 at approximately 11:40, Russian troops carried out an artillery strike on the village of Husynka in the Kupiansk district. A 57-year-old woman, who was walking down the street at the time, was killed,” the statement reads.

Residential buildings in the settlement were also damaged.

Under the procedural guidance of the Kupiansk District Prosecutor’s Office of Kharkiv Region, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into the commission of a war crime resulting in the death of a person (Part 2, Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), the Prosecutor’s Office added.

Earlier, Ukrinform reported that six people were injured in Russian airstrikes on Kharkiv, including a police officer.
