Three people killed and dozens wounded in overnight Russian attack on Ukraine — Svyrydenko

Each new Russian attack proves that Ukraine urgently needs additional air defense systems and tougher sanctions against Russia.

According to Ukrinform, Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko stated this in a Telegram post.

According to her, Russia launched another massive attack on Ukraine last night, firing dozens of missiles and hundreds of drones at cities and villages. Dnipro, Mykolaiv, Chernihiv, Zaporizhzhia, Poltava, Kyiv, Odesa, Sumy, and Kharkiv were targeted.

In Dnipro, a missile with cluster munitions hit a residential building.

Three people were killed and dozens were wounded. Russia is deliberately targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure — this is intentional terror, Svyrydenko stressed.

“Our defenders once again shielded the skies and saved hundreds of lives. I thank them for their courage and professionalism,” she said.

At the same time, the Prime Minister noted, "Each new Russian attack proves that we urgently need additional air defense systems, more weapons, and tougher sanctions to deprive the aggressor state of resources for war. A decisive international response is needed. Only in this way can we stop Russian terror and save the lives of our people."
