Air Defense Forces neutralize 48 of 75 Russian drones, hits reported in six locations
Air Defense Forces neutralized 48 of 75 drones used by Russia to attack Ukraine last night.
According to Ukrinform, the Ukrainian Air Force reported this on Telegram.
Starting at 9 p.m. on Wednesday, September 17, the Russians attacked with 75 Shahed and Gerbera strike UAVs and other types of drones from the directions of Kursk, Orel, Millerovo, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk. More than 40 of them were Shahed drones.
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare, and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
According to preliminary data, as of 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 18, Air Defense Forces shot down/neutralized 48 Shahed, Gerbera, and other types of drones in northern, eastern, and central Ukraine.
One enemy drone is still in the air.
Twenty-six strike UAVs were recorded hitting six locations.
As reported by Ukrinform, on the night of September 18, Russians attacked railway infrastructure in the Myrhorod district of the Poltava region. One person was injured.
As a result of Russian strikes on the Poltava region and temporary power outages in several areas, several trains are delayed.
