Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, commenting on the latest Russian attacks, stated that since the beginning of September, Russia has launched more than 3,500 drones, nearly 190 missiles, and over 2,500 aerial bombs.

This was reported on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

“Since the beginning of September alone, more than 3,500 drones of various types and nearly 190 missiles, along with more than 2,500 aerial bombs, have been launched against our people. There have also been provocations against our partners. This is precisely the kind of aerial terror against which Ukraine is calling for joint defense – so that no one has to scramble combat aircraft in haste and feel Russia’s pressure on their borders,” Zelensky said.

He emphasized that now is the time to implement joint protection of European skies with a multilayered air defense system.

“All the technologies for this are already in place. What is needed are investments and determination – strong actions and decisions from all our partners. I thank everyone who is helping,” the President added.

Zelensky noted that the attacks overnight targeted multiple locations across Ukraine.

“In Zaporizhzhia, first responders have completed extinguishing fires after the city was shelled by Russian rocket artillery. They struck deliberately to terrorize our people – 13 were wounded, including two children. Many residential buildings were damaged. In the Mykolaiv region, one person was killed when an ordinary farm came under fire. My condolences to the family and loved ones. Kyiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Kherson regions were also under attack – over one hundred drones and one hundred and fifty glide bombs in just this one night. Emergency services are responding wherever they are needed,” the President said.
