Three people killed and six injured in shelling of Kharkiv region

Three people were killed and six were injured in Russian strikes in the Kharkiv region over the past 24 hours.

This was reported by Oleh Syniehubov, Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

“Yesterday, eight settlements in the Kharkiv region were hit by enemy strikes. As a result of the shelling, three people were killed and six were injured,” the post says.

In the village of Khotimlia, Staryi Saltiv community, a 45-year-old, a 40-year-old man, and a 25-year-old woman were killed, and men aged 32, 42, and 47 were injured; in the city of Kupiansk, a 60-year-old man was injured; in the village of Pidserednie, Velykyi Burluk community, a 28-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman were injured.

In the Lozova district, work is continuing to restore power supply after the enemy shelling that took place on September 3. "As of this morning, in the city of Lozova, three-hour connections of subscribers to the power grid are being implemented, alternating between different areas. In the Blyzniuky community, power supply has been fully restored," Syniehubov said.

As a result of the shelling, civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged or destroyed, including a college building in the city of Bohodukhiv.

According to information from the regional department of the State Emergency Service, four fires caused by enemy shelling occurred during the day: in the village of Nechvolodivka, Kupiansk district, grass and garbage burned on an area of 45 square meters; between the villages of Znamianka and Manuilove, Kharkiv district, grass burned on an area of 500 square meters; in the village of Lozovenka, Izium district, a warehouse building and grass burned; in the city of Bohodukhiv, structural elements of a three-story building of an educational institution burned on an area of 100 square meters.

As reported, as a result of the Russian attack with Shahed drones on the night of September 4, about 40,000 subscribers in the city of Lozova and almost 700 subscribers in six settlements of the Blyzniuky community in the Lozova district were left without electricity.

It will take at least a week to fully restore the power supply.
