Ukrainian forces eliminate assault group attempting to raise Russian flag in Kupiansk

Russian occupying forces attempted to stage a video of raising their flag in Kupiansk, but Ukrainian Defense Forces disrupted the effort by eliminating the assault group.

According to Ukrinform, the press service of the 10th Army Corps reported this on Facebook.

“In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy tried to showcase its ‘successes’ through staged propaganda footage. To do so, they even disguised themselves in civilian clothing and attempted to unfurl their flag in Kupiansk. All these efforts proved futile. Ukrainian defenders swiftly eliminate such demonstrations along with the enemy assault groups,” the statement reads.

The press service emphasized that any attempt by Russian occupiers to use populated areas as settings for propaganda videos is destined to fail.

As reported by Ukrinform, there have been 58 combat engagements between Ukrainian Defense Forces and Russian troops since the beginning of the day, 29 of which occurred in the Pokrovsk sector. Some of the fighting is still ongoing.
