DIU hits two Russian Mi-8 helicopters, tug in Crimea

Units of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU) attacked Russian forces with drones at an airbase in Hvardiiske near Simferopol, destroying two Mi-8 helicopters, and also targeted a tug in the Sevastopol Bay.

According to Ukrinform, DIU reported this on Facebook.

“Another result of the systematic combat operations by the DIU special unit Prymary (Ghosts) in temporarily occupied Crimea: using drones, we struck the Russian airbase in Hvardiiske near Simferopol successfully destroying two enemy Mi-8 helicopters. The estimated value of the disabled helicopters is $20–30 million,” the statement reads.

Additionally, during the airstrike, Ukrainian fighters targeted a tug, likely BUK-2190, in the Sevastopol Bay.

Previously, the DIU Prymary unit struck Russian military assets in Crimea, including the Utyos-T radar complex, RT-70 radio telescope, Glonass dome complex, onboard MR-10M1 Mys radar station, and the 96L6-AP radar of an S-400 air defense system.
