Ukrainian teenager returned from temporarily occupied territory

As part of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's Bring Kids Back UA initiative, a 16-year-old boy and his grandmother were returned from a temporarily occupied territory.

According to Ukrinform, the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, announced this on Telegram.

According to him, the 16-year-old boy had been in the territory temporarily occupied by Russian invaders for over three years.

When the full-scale war began, he was staying with his grandmother in a village that was quickly occupied. His mother, meanwhile, was in the territory controlled by Ukraine.

All these years, the boy took care of his grandmother, who needed help, without access to proper medical care and necessary medicines. And today, after many years of waiting, he is back with his mother, Yermak said.
