U.S. State Department approves sale of Bradley IFVs worth $150 million to Ukraine
The U.S. State Department has formally approved the sale of Bradley IFVs, as well as related equipment and maintenance services worth $150 million, to Ukraine.
This was reported by the U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency on Wednesday, according to Ukrinform.
“The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to the Government of Ukraine of Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicles and Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul Capability and related equipment for an estimated cost of $150 million,” the statement said.
The State Department emphasized that the proposed sale “will support the foreign policy goals and national security objectives of the United States by improving the ability of Ukraine to provide for its own defense”.
As reported by Ukrinform, on Wednesday, the U.S. State Department approved the sale of HAWK Phase III air defense systems to Ukraine, as well as related equipment and maintenance services worth over $170 million.
