Wheat field catches fire following Russian shelling in Zaporizhzhia region
A Russian attack on Polohy district of Zaporizhzhia region caused a fire in a wheat field, regional authorities report.
This was announced on Telegram by Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Ivan Fedorov, according to Ukrinform.
“Russian forces struck the territory of Polohy district. As a result, a wheat field caught fire,” Fedorov wrote.
The Zaporizhzhia Regional Administration told a Ukrinform correspondent that the fire destroyed 20 hectares of wheat.
No casualties were reported.
As previously reported, on July 5, a barley field caught fire in Zaporizhzhia due to shelling, and on Sunday, a combine harvester operator was injured in a Russian FPV drone attack.
