Russians launch 689 strikes on Zaporizhzhia region over past day, killing one person

On June 5, Russian forces carried out 689 strikes on 12 settlements in Zaporizhzhia region.

This was reported on Telegram by Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration Ivan Fedorov, according to Ukrinform.

“The enemy carried out 16 airstrikes on Kamianske, Huliaipole, Novoandriivka, Malynivka, Poltavka, and Olhivske. A total of 438 drones of various types (mainly FPV) targeted Stepnohirsk, Kamianske, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, and Novodarivka. Five MLRS attacks hit Kamianske and Huliaipole. 230 artillery strikes were recorded in Kamianske, Huliaipole, Shcherbaky, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, and Novodarivka,” the message reads.

Authorities received 27 reports of damage to apartments, private homes, and infrastructure facilities.

Earlier, it was reported that a man was killed in Stepnohirsk as a result of an attack while he was walking down the street with his bicycle.

As Ukrinform previously reported, Russian troops also hit two residential high-rises in Zaporizhzhia that were undergoing reconstruction after a previous missile attack.
