Tarnavskyi: No airstrikes recorded in Tavria sector on Jan 8

There were no airstrikes in the operational area of the Tavria grouping of troops on Monday, January 8.

General Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, the commander of the Tavria grouping of troops, said this in a post on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

According to him, the enemy launched five missile strikes, carried out 37 combat engagements and launched 452 artillery strikes in the past 24 hours.

Tarnavskyi said that Ukrainian defenders were on the defensive and were conducting active operations in the designated areas.

In the past 24 hours, the enemy lost 375 soldiers and 21 pieces of military equipment, including two tanks, five armored fighting vehicles, an artillery system, nine unmanned aerial vehicles, two cars and a piece of special equipment.

Tarnavskyi also noted that in the past three days, Ukrainian forces had captured almost 30 invaders on the Tavria axis.

On January 7, according to Tarnavskyi, the intensity of artillery fire decreased, but the number of airstrikes remained almost the same.
