Elderly woman wounded in Russian shelling of Kherson region this morning

Russian forces shelled settlements in Ukraine's southern Kherson region this morning, wounding an 86-year-old woman.

Kherson region governor Oleksandr Prokudin announced this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"Russian aircraft continue to destroy the Kherson region," he wrote.

Prokudin published a photo of Novoberyslav that came under enemy fire. At around 04:00, the Russian military dropped four guided bombs on this village, damaging homes and outbuildings. There were no casualties among local residents.

The regional governor said that Kozatske was under enemy fire this morning. An 86-year-old woman was wounded. She is now in the hospital, receiving medical assistance.

According to him, the Russian aggressors hit two settlements of the Beryslav district six more times. The consequences are being clarified.

Russian troops reportedly launched 95 attacks on the Kherson region in the past 24 hours, killing two people.
