The Mykolaiv region receives construction equipment as part of cooperation with the Republic of Korea.

This was announced by Vitaliy Kim, the head of the Mykolaiv Regional Administration, on Facebook, Ukrinform reported.

"In September, the Mykolaiv Regional Administration and HD Hyundai Construction Equipment signed a memorandum of cooperation. We intend to work in the field of reconstruction and education. ... There is already the first result. As part of the memorandum, Hyundai will provide us with construction equipment that is essential for the reconstruction of the region," Kim wrote.

According to him, two modern crawler excavators are currently on their way to the region. In addition, three more units of equipment are expected.

"We are also currently negotiating to expand cooperation. The latest Korean experience in technology and transportation is important to us," Kim added.

As reported, during the G20 summit, South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol announced that Ukraine will receive $2.3 billion in financial assistance for recovery starting in 2025. In addition, in 2024, Ukraine will receive $394 million from South Korea, which is eight times more than the amount of financial assistance in 2023.
