Ukraine preparing for Russian strikes on energy infrastructure - Zelensky holds meeting

President Volodymyr Zelensky held a daily conference call.

The Head of State announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reported.

"Daily selector. I received reports on the arrival of equipment, ammunition, new contracts and a new geography of supply," Zelensky said.

He also received information on the situation at the frontline. "Kupiansk and Avdiivka are difficult, tough battles, but our soldiers are holding their positions," the President emphasized.

At the same time, Zelensky stated that the Russian Federation is trying to destroy everything it can reach. "Beryslav, Borova. We are eliminating the consequences of shelling, helping people," the Head of State said.

In addition, he added: "We are preparing for terrorist attacks on energy infrastructure. This year we will not only defend ourselves but also respond. The enemy is well aware of this. First, they withdrew their fleet from Crimea, and now they are moving their aviation further away from our borders."

As reported, National Security and Defense Council Secretary Oleksiy Danilov said that Ukraine's power system is now better protected from missile attacks than last year. According to him, additional air defense equipment is gradually arriving, some of which will be leased for as long as it takes for Ukraine to be able to defend its skies.
