In Mariupol, construction workers find spontaneous burial

A spontaneous burial made last year in Mariupol was found by construction workers hired by the invaders during excavation work.

This was reported by the Mariupol City Council on Telegram, Ukrinform reported.

"In the Primorsky Park, Russian builders stumbled upon another unauthorized burial. They were made by Mariupol residents during the blockade in the spring of 2022, when Russian troops mercilessly shelled the city. There are hundreds of such unauthorized graves throughout the city. People buried their dead neighbors, friends, or relatives right in their yards or parks," the statement reads.

Thousands of people killed by Russian shelling lie in these mass graves, and the bodies of many more remain under the ruins of their homes.

"Russia is a killer country. Remember!" the city council said in a release.

As reported, according to various estimates, about 22 thousand Ukrainian citizens have been killed in the city during the blockade of Mariupol.
