Air Force updates on Russia’s overnight attack: 15 enemy air targets downed

On the night of October 23, 2023, Russian invaders attacked Ukraine’s territory with one Kh-59 guided air-launched missile, one unidentified combat drone, and 13 Shahed-type drones.

The relevant statement was made by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In cooperation with surface-to-air missile units, mobile fire teams and anti-aircraft units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces, the Air Force destroyed all enemy air targets, namely one Kh-59 guided air-launched missile, one unidentified combat drone, and 13 Shahed-136/131 loitering munitions.

In particular, the enemy launched Shahed-type drones from the temporarily occupied Crimea’s Chauda Cape, targeting southern, eastern and central regions of Ukraine.

Russia’s Kh-59 missile was fired from the Su-34 aircraft within the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia region. The unidentified combat drone was presumably launched from the northern direction.
