Zaluzhnyi, Milley discuss Ukraine’s offensive operation

In a phone call, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi briefed Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark A. Milley on the course of Ukraine’s offensive operation.

The relevant statement was made by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Within the framework of continuous dialogue with partners, I spoke via phone with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley. During the conversation, I informed General Milley about the operational situation along the frontline and told him about the course of our offensive operation,” Zaluzhnyi wrote.

In addition, the parties discussed the supply of weaponry and ammunition, and the strengthening of Ukraine’s air defense.

Zaluzhnyi thanked for another security assistance package, which had recently been announced by the United States, as well as for the allies’ efforts to provide the F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine.
