Russians conduct sabotage and reconnaissance activities in north of Ukraine - Ministry of Defense

In the north, Russian troops are conducting sabotage and reconnaissance activities in violation of the state border of Ukraine.

Hanna Malyar, the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"The enemy maintains a military presence in the areas bordering Ukraine, keeping three groups of troops covering the state border in Bryansk, Kursk, and Belgorod regions (Bryansk, Kursk, and Belgorod) in order to restrain our troops and prevent their transfer to the areas of active hostilities," Malyar said.

According to her, the enemy continues to shell settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation and conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities in violation of the state border of Ukraine.

As reported, local authorities, together with police and volunteers, evacuated more than 2,000 adults and nearly 500 children from the border communities of the Sumy region.
