Dozens of casualties among occupiers following recent attack on Russia’s brigade in Crimea – sources

An attack launched on the 126th brigade of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet in the temporarily occupied Crimea on August 25 was a special operation jointly conducted by the Security Service of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This is reported by Ukrinform, referring to sources from the Security Service of Ukraine.

“Today’s [August 25, 2023 – Ed.] strike on the 126th brigade of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet has been a special operation jointly conducted by the defense security intelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the sources told.

According to them, the Ukrainian side effectively used unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) against the occupiers. They did not disclose the exact number, but mentioned it was a group of drones.

“We can already certainly speak of several dozens of Russians killed and injured.  Ammunition storage areas were also hit. In addition, military equipment was seriously damaged,” the sources noted.

In their words, Russian occupiers turned to be completely unprepared for such events.

“Our drones managed to bypass all enemy defense systems,” the sources added.

The Security Service of Ukraine has promised even more ‘surprises’ for Russian occupiers in the future.

A reminder that earlier Andrii Yusov, the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate at the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, confirmed a strike on the 126th separate guards coastal defense brigade of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet, which is headquartered in the temporarily occupied Crimea’s village of Perevalne.
