In Bukovyna, volunteers donate 60 generators for hospitals, social welfare institutions

Hospitals and social welfare institutions in the Chernivtsi region received 60 generators purchased at the expense of philanthropists.

The Chernivtsi Regional State Administration reported this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

"Health care facilities and social welfare institutions of Bukovyna received 60 generators with a capacity of 3 to 12 kW. The equipment was received with the financial support of the United Nations Development Program, in cooperation with the Department of Regional Development of the Chernivtsi Regional State Administration," the statement reads.

They noted that the generators will help provide the region's institutions with backup power sources to ensure stable operation during the autumn and winter period.

The Regional Office for International Cooperation is an initiative of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine, which aims to develop cooperation between local and regional authorities and international partners seeking to cooperate at the level of the region and territorial community.

As reported, German philanthropists donated three thousand backpacks with the necessary contents to Chernivtsi, which will be distributed to every first-grader in the city.
