Nayev visits Northern Operational Zone and congratulates defenders on Independence Day

The Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Serhiy Nayev, visited the Northern Operational Zone and congratulated the defenders on the Independence Day of Ukraine.

The Joint Forces Command's press service reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"You have gone through the real crucible of war. You bravely repelled enemy attacks, desperately covering each other on the battlefield. This is evidence of good training, full combat readiness, professionalism, and most importantly, love for your country," Nayev emphasized.

As noted, the commander talked to the soldiers of the unit, which recently returned from the East after performing combat missions in the Serebryany forestry near Kreminna, in the Luhansk region, and during the conversation focused on the need for rest for Ukrainian soldiers, as he believes that vacationing with family is a good motivation and an important incentive to continue fighting.

Nayev also noted that the military is making great efforts to protect Ukraine's territorial integrity and independence. He thanked the defenders for their courage and valiant service.

As reported, on August 1, Nayev said that the Defense Forces stopped an attempt to cross the border of Ukraine in the Chernihiv region by a subversive reconnaissance group of the Russian Federation.
