Russian forces lose 27 pieces of military equipment, six ammunition depots in Ukraine’s south

Ukraine’s Defense Forces destroyed 27 units of Russian military equipment and six ammunition depots in the Tavria operational zone.

That’s according to the Commander of the Tavria Operational-Strategic Group of Troops, General Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, Ukrinform reports.

"In general, during the past day, the enemy attacked our positions 16 times and carried out 626 strikes, as well as 15 airstrikes. Artillery units of our Defense Forces in the Tavria direction performed 1,248 firing missions during the day," Tarnavskyi wrote on Telegram.

He reported that 232 Russian soldiers were killed in action, wounded, and captured (including 79 KIAs and 153 WIAs). Twenty-seven units of Russian military equipment were also destroyed.

In particular, these were six tanks, six armored fighting vehicles, eight artillery systems and mortars, MLR systems, self-propelled howitzers, anti-aircraft guns, ATGMs, two trucks, and a unit of specialized equipment.

Six ammunition depots and a command and observation post were also destroyed.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, Ukraine’s Defense Forces from February 24, 2022 to August 20, 2023 eliminated 257,470 Russian invaders, including 460 in the past day.
