Russia keeps missile carrier with eight Kalibrs on board off Crimea coast

The Russian Navy has deployed in the Black Sea nine of its warships, including a missile carrier equipped with eight Kalibr cruise missiles.

That’s according to the Ukrainian Navy press service, Ukrinform reports.

"As of 10:30 on August 6, there are nine enemy warships on combat duty in the Black Sea, including a Kalibr cruise missile carrier with a total salvo of up to eight missiles," the report reads.

In addition, Russia keeps a warship on combat duty in the Sea of Azov, and another eight – in the Mediterranean Sea, two of them carrying Kalibr cruise missiles with a total salvo of up to 24 missiles.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, from the evening of August 5 to the morning of August 6, the Russian forces launched a massive missile attack on the territory of Ukraine, involving air and sea-based missiles, as well as Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 one-way attack drones.
