Casualties reported as Russian forces shell village in Izium district

Russian troops have shelled the village of Pershotravneve in Ukraine's eastern Kharkiv region, killing a woman and wounding a man.

Kharkiv region governor Oleh Syniehubov announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"The enemy continues to target the civilian population. Today, at around noon, the enemy shelled the village of Pershotravneve in the Izium district. According to preliminary information from medics, a 50-year-old man was injured and hospitalized. A woman, about 70 years old, unfortunately, died," Syniehubov said.

On July 31, the enemy carried out mortar and artillery attacks on the settlements of Udy in the Bohodukhiv district, Veterynarne in the Kharkiv district, and Starytsia, Vovchansk, Nesterne, and Budarky in the Chuhuiv district. Five private residential buildings were damaged by a missile strike in the village of Shevchenkove, Kupiansk district. A guided bomb attack on the village of Druzheliubivka in the Izium district damaged a house.
