Woman killed as Russians launch MLRS attack on Kharkiv region’s Kupiansk

A woman, 57, has been killed in Russia’s shelling of the Kharkiv region’s Kupiansk.

The relevant statement was made by Kharkiv Regional Military Administration on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Russian occupiers continue causing terror against civilians in the Kharkiv region. Today, rashists have again opened fire on Kupiansk. A woman, 57, was killed in the enemy shelling,” the report states.

According to the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office, Russian occupiers attacked Kupiansk around 11:00 a.m., July 22, 2023. The territory of a private enterprise was hit.

Later, around 01:30 p.m., the enemy again shelled Kupiansk, having killed a civilian woman.

Based on the preliminary data, Russian occupiers struck Kupiansk with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). Pre-trial investigations were launched for the violation of the laws and customs of war (Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
