Russians open fire at Oleshky school sheltering flood-affected civilians

The Russian military fired at a school in Oleshky, on the temporarily captured territory of Kherson region, where people gathered after their homes had been flooded.

Oleshky Mayor in exile Yevhen Ryshchuk reported this on Telegram, Ukrinform saw.

"The orcs have just fired at the building of School 2, where people from the flooded houses were gathering," the report says.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on the night of June 6, the Russian occupation forces blew up the Kakhovka HPP dam, which caused a major flood downstream of the Dnipro.

In the flooded Oleshky community, water has forced some locals to their roofs where they are awaiting evacuation, with no supply of water and food. Another major issue is flooded cemeteries and de-energized morgues.
