Man killed, woman injured as Russians open fire on Kharkiv region’s Vovchansk

Russian troops have shelled the Kharkiv region’s city of Vovchansk. Casualties among civilians were reported.

The relevant statement was made by Kharkiv Regional Military Administration on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“A man, 60, has been killed in today’s enemy shelling of Vovchansk. Also, a woman, 52, received shrapnel injuries,” the report states.

The injured woman was taken to hospital.

According to the data from the regional police, detached houses were damaged, and trading pavilions caught fire at the market.

Investigative teams and explosives experts came to the scene. Investigators opened a criminal proceeding under Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the laws and customs of war).
