Drone found in Russia’s Krasnodar Area explodes upon inspection

An unidentified unmanned aerial vehicle that was found in a field in Krasnodar Area exploded as emergency services scrambled to the scene on Sunday.

That’s according to the Baza channel on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

It is noted that the UAV was discovered on the morning of May 28 in the Krasnoarmisky district during fieldwork just outside Stanitsa Polevaya.

"An hour later, when the police and special services operatives were arriving at the scene, the drone exploded," the report says.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, overnight Sunday, May 28, Russian invaders launched at Ukraine swarm of Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 drones from the north and south. Ukraine officials said 52 enemy drones had been shot down.

In Kyiv, the strike killed a man and left two people injured. Drone debris damaged civilian objects in several Kyiv districts.
