Zelensky thanks air defense forces, rescuers for saved lives

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has thanked Ukraine's air defense forces for their effective work, because every enemy object shot down in the sky means lives saved.

According to Ukrinform, the head of state reported this on Telegram.

"The Air Defense Forces of Ukraine. You hear the air raid alarm differently than most people. You look up to destroy enemy missiles, aircraft, helicopters, and drones. Every time you shoot down enemy drones and missiles, lives are saved," Zelensky said.

The president also thanked Ukrainian rescuers involved in eliminating the consequences of enemy strikes. "You do your best to save others," he said.

The head of state also published photos dedicated to the work of the air defense forces and the State Emergency Service.

In the early hours of May 28, 2023, the enemy attacked Ukraine with 54 Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 attack drones from the Bryansk and Krasnodar regionsю

Ukraine's defense forces destroyed 52 drones, including more than 40 over Kyiv.

In the Ukrainian capital, a 41-year-old man was killed due to falling drone debris, and another man and woman were injured and hospitalized.
