Russians shell Kherson region 64 times, casualties reported

The Russian forces shelled Kherson region 64 times over the past day, killing two civilians and injuring three more.

Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

 In total, on May 23, the invaders fired 271 projectiles from heavy artillery, used Grad MLRS, tanks and drones to attack the region.

In particular, the Russians shelled Kherson 11 times, firing 147 projectiles at the city.

The invaders targeted neighborhoods of the region’s population centers and social infrastructure objects in Beryslav district.

Prokudin added that 91 more people were evacuated from the liberated territories of Kherson region on Tuesday.

As reported by Ukrinform, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russian army launched 41 airstrikes and carried out 53 MLRS attacks in the past 24 hours.
