Zelensky congratulates Marines on professional holiday, comes to their frontline unit (Updated)

Ukrainian servicemen as part of the Marine Corps successfully perform difficult tasks so the enemy is fully aware of their might.

That’s according to President Volodymyr Zelensky, who issued a greeting on the occasion of Marine Corps Day, Ukrinform reports.

“Prepared for operations on land, at sea, and in the air, Ukrainian marines successfully perform complex tasks. They are motivated, strong, and brave. The enemy feels the power of our warriors. Thank you for defending our homeland!” wrote Zelensky.

The president also honored the memory of heroes who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the future of the Ukrainian state.

“Glory to the Ukrainian Marines! Glory to Ukraine!” Zelensky added.

Zelensky later posted another statement on Telegram, revealing that he personally arrived at the front line to pass his greetings to the Marines.

"Our defenders. Frontline area in the Vuhledar – Maryinka defense line. Today I am here to congratulate our warriors on the Day of the Navy of the Military Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Glory to everyone who defends Ukraine!"

Every year since 2018, Ukraine celebrates Marine Corps Day on May 23.
