Kherson region comes under enemy fire 90 times, three civilians killed

On May 17, 2023, Russian troops attacked the Kherson region 90 times, having fired 529 projectiles.

The relevant statement was made by Kherson Regional Military Administration Head Oleksandr Prokudin on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Russian invaders used heavy artillery, the Grad multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), tanks, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and aircraft.

The city of Kherson came under enemy fire three times. A total of eight Russian projectiles were recorded.

According to Prokudin, enemy projectiles targeted residential areas across the Kherson region’s settlements. A local school and a store were hit within the Kherson city community, as well as a power transmission line within the Bilozerka village community and a hospital in the Beryslav district.

As a result, three civilians were reported killed, including a child. Eight more people were injured (one child among them).

Meanwhile, 147 more people have been evacuated from the Kherson region’s de-occupied areas over the past day.
