All enemy targets in Kyiv’s airspace destroyed – military administration

Russia has attacked Ukraine’s capital city of Kyiv with its strategic bombers, Tu-95MS and Tu-160, from the Caspian Sea.

The relevant statement was made by Kyiv City Military Administration on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Presumably, the enemy fired the Kh-101/555 cruise missiles, and used reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) over the capital city afterwards.

“According to the preliminary data, all enemy targets in Kyiv’s airspace were detected and destroyed. The Air Force will soon update on the number and type of missiles and UAVs,” the report states.

The fragments of Russian projectiles landed in Kyiv’s Desnianskyi and Darnytskyi districts.

Most destructions were recorded in the Darnytskyi district: a garage cooperative caught fire there. The fire was extinguished.

In the rest of districts, enemy projectiles might have caused damage to cars, building surrounding grounds, or forest and park areas. No casualties were reported.

A reminder that, on the night of May 18, 2023, air raid sirens were massively ringing out all over Ukraine. In some cities, explosions were heard.
