Air Force tells what drone Ukrainian forces shot down over Kyiv in the evening

The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said that a drone that was shot down over the capital on the evening of May 4 was a Bayraktar TB2, which was out of control.

The Command of the Air Force said this in a statement, Ukrinform reports.

"On May 4, around 20:00 in Kyiv region, during a scheduled flight, a Bayraktar TB2 UAV lost control," the report says.

Uncontrolled presence of drones in the sky over the capital could lead to undesirable consequences.

Therefore, it was decided to involve mobile fire groups.

"The target was destroyed! It's a pity, but this is equipment, and such cases happen. It is probably a technical malfunction, the reasons are being clarified," the Air Force added.

It is noted that there were no casualties as a result of combat operations and the wreckage of the downed UAV.

As reported, an unmanned aerial vehicle was shot down over Kyiv on Thursday evening.
