Three killed as Russian troops strike Kherson hypermarket

The Russian army fired at a hypermarket in Kherson at around 11:00 on Wednesday, killing three people and leaving five others injured.

The Ukrainian Interior Ministry's press service reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"Three dead, five wounded as of now. These are employees and visitors of the institution. All services are at the scene. They are providing assistance to people. You cannot negotiate with Russian murderers. They need to be held accountable or destroyed," Ukraine's Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko said

According to the report, the hypermarket was the only one that was operating in the city.

Earlier reports said that a curfew would be in place in Kherson from 20:00 on May 5 to 06:00 on May 8. During the 58 hours, movement and stay on the streets will be prohibited, and the city itself will be closed for entry and exit.
