Kim: 14,000 civilian objects already damaged in Mykolaiv region

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, more than 14,000 civilian objects have been damaged in Mykolaiv region. Of them, the Russians hit 3,000 objects twice or more. 

The region has already submitted applications on 10 objects for reconstruction under the "Recovery of Ukraine" project.

"Since the beginning of the full-scale war, more than 14,000 objects have been destroyed or damaged in Mykolayiv region, of which more than 3,000 objects were hit twice or more," Vitaliy Kim, Head of the Mykolaiv Regional State Administration, said during the national news telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to him, the applications on 10 objects have been submitted for restoration under the "Recovery of Ukraine" project. "We are waiting for the opening of the Consulate of Denmark in Mykolaiv which is our main partner in reconstruction. France, Moldova, Germany, Kazakhstan also take separate large objects for reconstruction. This work is ongoing," Kim emphasized.

He also noted that the people who lived in front-line Mykolaiv for more than a year now need cultural recovery. Therefore, concerts and other events will be held taking into account the operational situation.

As reported, it is currently impossible to calculate the exact sum of damages caused to Mykolaiv region by Russian shelling. They will total many billions of euros as the destruction is tremendous.
