One killed as Russians shell Kherson region 61 times in past day

The Russian army launched 61 attacks on the Kherson region on Monday, April 3.

Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson regional military administration, said this in a Telegram post.

Over the past day, the enemy fired 224 shells, he added.

The Russians attacked Kherson city four times, with ten projectiles hitting a residential area and the territory of a medical institution.

"Unfortunately, there are civilian casualties – one person died," Prokudin said.

He also added that 113 people had been evacuated in the past day from the territory of the region liberated from the Russians.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Russians continue to put pressure on the population in the settlements of the Kakhovka district of the Kherson region. On April 2, people were forbidden to leave their homes. Throughout the day, all public places were closed, including shopping centers, shops, hospitals, etc.
