Ukrainian forces repel 48 enemy attacks in four sectors

Ukraine's defense forces repelled 48 Russian army attacks in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka sectors on Wednesday, March 29.

According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said this in an evening update posted on Facebook.

"Throughout the day, the enemy launched one missile strike and 16 air strikes and mounted four attacks using multiple launch rocket systems," the update reads.

The probability of missile and air strikes on targets across Ukraine remains high, as the enemy is continuing to ignore the laws and customs of war and is using terror tactics against the civilian population. Today's enemy air strike on the infrastructure of the city of Beryslav, Kherson region, left civilians injured and damaged private houses and civilian infrastructure.

According to the General Staff, the Russian army is concentrating its main efforts on conducting offensive operations in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions. The settlements of Bilohorivka, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka remain at the epicenter of hostilities. Ukrainian units repelled 48 enemy attacks in the said sectors.

In the Armiansk and Dzhankoi districts of the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the enemy is continuing to build fortifications and dig trenches. The civilian population is actively involved in this type of work.

The Ukrainian Air Force launched five strikes on Russian military personnel and equipment concentration areas throughout the day and destroyed a Russian Su-24M bomber.

Ukrainian missile troops and gunners hit two enemy concentration areas, an ammunition depot and two fuel depots.
