Massive shelling of Sumy region: Number of killed grows to two, ten injured

As a result of Russian massive shelling of Sumy region, two people were killed and ten more were injured.

This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"At night, the Russians carried out massive shelling of Bilopillia, Vorozhba, Richky and Mykolaiv settlement communities with various types of weapons,” the report says.

The city of Bilopillia came under massive shelling: Russians launched an airstrike, 80 MLRS attacks and 20 strikes using barrel artillery. As a result of the shelling, two people were killed and nine more were injured in the city. An administrative building, a school building, and a residential building were destroyed. Apartment blocks, private buildings, and a dormitory were damaged.

Later, the National Police specified that one of those killed during the nighttime mass shelling of Bilopillia was 37-year-old senior police lieutenant Vadym Lystopad.

In Vorozhba community, an MLRS attack was launched on the city of Vorozhba.  A residential building and an outbuilding were damaged. One person was injured.

In Richky community, Vyry village came under an airstrike and a drone attack. A kindergarten, administrative building were damaged. A school building was destroyed. Artillery shelling was launched on Richky village - private houses, an administrative building and a gymnasium building were damaged.

In Mykolaiv settlement community, an airstrike was launched on an agricultural company. Industrial premises and agricultural machinery were damaged.

Nova Sloboda community also came under enemy shelling overnight. There were no victims.

As earlier reported, Russian forces launched a massive attack on Sumy region using aviation, drones and anti-aircraft missiles. It was reported about one dead and one injured.
