Ukrainian forces shoot down 11 enemy kamikaze drones overnight

Ukraine’s air defense forces shot down 11 out of 16 Shahed drones launched by Russian occupiers on Ukraine on the evening of March 17.

This was reported by the Command of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"Russian occupiers attacked Ukraine with Iranian-made kamikaze Shahed-136/131 drones. The attack was carried out from two directions - from the eastern coast of the Sea of Azov and from Bryansk region of the Russian Federation. The forces and means of the Air Commands Center, East and West of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 11 attack UAVs in the central, western and eastern regions,” the report says.

The Air Force also reported that a total of 16 attack drones were launched across Ukrainian regions. As a reminder, air raid alerts sounded across some regions on Friday evening due to a kamikaze drone attack.
