Ukrainian border guards repel two Russian attacks near Bakhmut

Fighters with Ukraine's State Border Guard Service have repelled two attacks by Russian mercenaries in the Bakhmut area.

The State Border Guard Service said this in a post in the messaging app Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

Throughout the day, the border guards and Wagner Group mercenaries were fighting in the city's industrial area. To support the attack, assault troops used artillery.

"Despite nonstop shelling, State Border Guard Service fighters repelled two enemy assaults: eight invaders were eliminated, and the same number were wounded," the State Border Guard Service noted.

Ukrinform reported earlier that Ukraine's Special Operations Forces had destroyed a company of Russian soldiers and an Orlan-10 UAV near Bakhmut.
