Russians shell Kostiantynivka with Uragan MLRS, foreign volunteer injured

On March 16, 2023, Russian troops struck the Donetsk region’s Kostiantynivka with the Uragan multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). Six people were reported injured, including a foreign volunteer.

The relevant statement was made by Donetsk Regional Military Administration Head Pavlo Kyrylenko on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Today Russians have twice struck the city with the Uragan cluster munitions. Six civilians were injured, including a foreign volunteer. At least 19 houses were damaged to a various extent, as well as a school and an enterprise,” Kyrylenko wrote.

Meanwhile, according to the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office, on March 16, 2023, Russian invaders shelled the Donetsk region’s Kostiantynivka, Pivnichne and Pivdenne with the Uragan MLRS and artillery. A woman, 50, was killed in Pivdenne; and a man, 40, was injured in Pivnichne.

In Kostiantynivka, a railway station, market and detached houses were hit. A citizen of Poland was listed among those injured. The fragments of Russian projectiles caused damage to over 30 houses, gas pipelines, cars and household buildings.
